Which NPC has the worst job in World of Warcraft?

Good day to you, you wonderful bunch of bloggers!

It sure has been too long, since I had time to tend to my little blog here. Thank you so much for still tunin’ in.

So, which NPC has the worst job in World of Warcraft?

Well, not technically a job, but on my yearly visits to the Elders of the Lunar Festival, I came across this poor Night Elf…Elder Meadowrun.

And I really thought to myself, that she must have one of the worst jobs as an NPC in World of Warcraft.

Not because of what she does, but more in particular, where those above have decided, she should hang out during the Festival!

At first sight, I suppose, the cave does not look like such a dreadful place? (You know, looking aside the fact, that it is in the Plaguelands)

And Elder Meadowrun is so fair and gentle…

When you speak with her, she offers words of wisdom, and shows no bitter feelings towards whoever decided the place she has to hang out in for two weeks straight…

Yet this…!

…Is what this cave holds. This is where she has been told to stay. At least it is not forever, but two weeks inside such a gruesome cave?!

I cannot even begin to imagine the horrible experiments that has gone on here. (And I cannot remember questing there, so I guess, I have something in store…)

And do not even get me started on the layout of the cave! It’s as Vanilla as can be. It has no map of it either, so when you press M, this is all you see!

At least, Elder Meadowrun is standing somewhat close to the entrance. (I discoved, after spending 10 minutes inside it..), so she can get a sense of some fresh…well air.

If those spooky I do not even know what to call them-monsters allows her to!

(I am on my mage here, a rare sight)

So do me a favor, if you decide to fly by her in the Plaguelands and you find a cave called the Weeping Cave.

Even though you might hesitate to go inside, thinking to yourself, that no Elder could possible decide to set up camp there, pay her a visit.

Consider donating some money so send her on a well earned vacation after this!

She needs our support.

I couldn’t help but wonder…

Have you found an NPC, whos job you thought worthy of the title “Worst job in World of Warcraft”?

Happy week to all of you wonderful bloggers and thank you for paying me another visit πŸ™‚

Oh, also, do not forget to participate in Wowable’s

(Just for the record. This post is not about the most romantic place in Azeroth… πŸ˜› )

  1. In the Priest Order Hall, just to the right of the entrance when you portal in, is a young Draenai priestess. Her entire job is to hit you with a speed buff when you go by her, either entering or exiting the Hall. I often wonder what she did to earn this terrible job. Was she driving the Exodar when they crashed it into Azeroth? Did she get too much sugar in Velen’s tea? Did she spill a plate of spoo in Varian’s lap at a state dinner in Stormwind? Did she say that well actually Benedictus wasn’t so bad if you only considered … ?

Either way, “Order hall fluffer” isn’t probably going to be figured prominently on her resume.

    1. That is exactly the kind of stories I was after, thank you, Grimmtooth! I didn’t know about that poor Draenei Priestess, hah. Driving the Exodar might have been the reason!

Lol, your comment made me laugh, so thank you for that πŸ™‚

  2. How interesting… and thank you for the nod to our Moggation Match πŸ˜€

I think the Goblins who test the rockets in Azshara have it pretty rough. It’s a suicide mission everytime xD

Oh my… that surely is a bad job, I don’t think I can think of anything as bad as that! Poor girl 😦

  4. Actually, Dr. Boom had a pretty bad job, too. His lot in life has improved over time, thanks to the introduction of training dummies. There was a time, though, that you’d head out to Netherstorm every now and then to test new armor / weaps / pets by attacking him.

  5. “here i am, in this cave again, where people come by to poke me for loot” … yep that is bad place to be, poor women, the is a dwarf elder in Brill, the Undead town, can you imagine what he think of this place? πŸ˜€

    1. I know, right? Oooh, my, yeah. Maybe that dwarf was second-last in line when they handed our locations for the Lunar Festival? πŸ˜›

  6. oh my lord that cave is DARK! I went to visit her on Sunday when the festival first started, but thankfully remembered she was near the entrance… I didn’t see what was lurking deeper inside the cave. It’s horrific! I think I’m going to take all of my toons out there to see her so she doesn’t feel so lonely. Poor darling. (Great post btw!!)

    1. Hah, I didn’t notice her there, so I went all the way around inside the cave ._.

But hey! It IS horrific. Give her a hug from me. And thank you so for stopping by, Cinder πŸ™‚

  7. The NPC with the worst job I know of is Bielara Ivyshroud whose only job is to teleport people out of the Bashal’Aran Collapse in Darkshore. Only way to reach it is by jumping into the Maw of the Void whirlpool!

    1. Hey Simes, thank you for visiting – I do not believe we have met πŸ™‚ But I actually remember coming across your Shirt guide once! I missed the chance for the Brawler’s shirts, but they came back in Legion and now I have them πŸ™‚

Oh yes, that NPC. She must be quite lonely in there. I’ll make sure to stop by the next time I am in the neighborhood.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave me a comment πŸ™‚

      1. Glad the shirt guide was of use! And it was good they brought back the shirts in Legion’s brawlers’ guild as well. Would be a shame to restrict those.

And yes, I think that NPC is lonely; I posted the comment before clicking to get out: “I wasn’t expecting anyone down here. Come to keep me company, or just looking for a way out?”

If you kill the named mob which is also in there you get a quest which gives you the achievement Ghosts in the Dark

      2. It sure was πŸ™‚ And it was even back before I started blogging, fun to rediscover πŸ™‚ I know! Those shirt designs from The Brawlers Guild are so unique, and some of them really made a few of my transmogs come together.

Aww, she says that? I could not even remember. Aw. I’ll pay her a visit for sure soon.

Oh, yeah, that’s where that Achievement is from, thank you πŸ™‚

  8. I feel sort of bad cracking up laughing when you showed all the terrible work benches. I never thought of the elders that way. I guess some of them do have it pretty rough. πŸ™‚

The worst job in WoW for an NPC is probably class trainer. Besides the one in my class order hall, I haven’t talked to one in quite a while. They must be pretty bitter not being able to share their knowledge. πŸ™‚

    1. Haha, that’s okay, I am glad to hear I can still put a smile on your face, despite the gruesome-ness πŸ˜›

Awww. Our Class Trainers. Once one of the NPCs we would faithfully visit on a regular basis…Good observation. I guess they look forward to the Classic Servers – most of them have probably applied for jobs there already..!
