Beauty And The Beast – World of Warcraft remake; “Evermore”, By Alunaria’s Avenue

It sure has been silent here for longer periods of time these weeks!

Due to real life but also due to working on this particular piece for a while.

Ever since watching Blizzcon, I wanted to make some kind of Screenshot-tribute to Lordaeron, and after visiting it again, I got inspired by the Beauty and the Beast movie soundtrack, featuring the song “Evermore” from Disney’s movie (Music made by Howard Ashman & Alan Menken).

In order to get this to “work”, you will have to start the youtube-video, as soon as you see this particular screen in the Slideshow:

If you do that, then it should follow the song and acts of the original – so you can have them both running at the same time, so screenshots and the video will allign πŸ™‚

You can easily click back and forth, using the arrows, to find it.

Right so here it is, and below is the original, to you can compare and listen to the song, while you tour Lordaeron a little.

I honestly wonder if Disney got inspired by Lordaeron when making the castle of The Beast.

If you are one of those, who favor “pure” screenshots over slideshows, then here you go πŸ™‚

I caught this as best as I could, using Class Trial characters (the 10 gold you start with was just enough for the transmogs!)

Not every detail is spot on, but I just worked with what I had πŸ™‚

Did you know there is actually an encounter in WoW, inspired by Beauty and the Beast? πŸ™‚

I made a post about it (almost six months ago, time flies!) here.

Happy evening everyone and thank you so much for visiting πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much! Yes that was my exact thought too! Oh, I wish I had the time to dive into video making, I have so many ideas. I would wait until Worgens gets a character model update though; the facial expressions are not very easy to work with.

You’d think, right? But no Horde players bothered me. I did die once, because I fel down from the tower (lol) but even in the room, no Horde touched me. In fact I had a cute encouter with a low level Undead- I’ll share a few screenshots in my monthly screenshot post later πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you so much, so glad the slideshow worked! It was not easy to get the timing right to match the video sequence. Happy it came together πŸ™‚

Oh, I know, right, me neither! It looks totally different now.

      Thanks again πŸ™‚

    1. Oh, hey Eom, how wonderful to see you return! I hope you are doing well and do wonder which adventures you are enjoying these days? πŸ™‚

I enjoyed your last post on the Zangarmarsh Mushrooms very much. It’s rare that people really notice the sounds in game, especially in such details. I found it really great to read and went to Zangarmarsh myself afterwards. Thank you for another level added to my immersion skills πŸ˜‰

      And thank you for taking the time to appreciate this post of mine with such encouragement and such a compliment;

a heartfelt thank you from me.

      1. Thanks! Though I logged in from time to time, I didn’t have much quality time to get really immersed in Azeroth in the last couple of months, to the extent to write about my adventures, but it seems the most immersive days are just ahead of me. Not sure if new stories will flourish, I hope they do, but I have faith the most enjoyable adventures await me πŸ™‚

      2. Ah, I see – I can relate to that. It takes time to be able to immerse and not just “hover around at the surface”, if one can call it that.

Have faith indeed πŸ™‚ I look forward to it, when that time comes.

    1. Thank you a huge bunch πŸ™‚ It was really fun to put together and experience in game. Those Class Trials are helping me out a lot with screenshots in game! Thank you so much for taking the time to appreciate it πŸ™‚

  1. This is just fantastic. Beautiful. Best choice of place to shoot your “film”. I mean it is almost a film. πŸ™‚ And doing it in “enemy territory”. You should have a youtube channel for this sort of genre. πŸ™‚

    1. Aw, thanks a huge bunch πŸ™‚ I wish I could make a real video really. That would be awesome. Like, those old ones. I would love to be able to make those.

But the Worgen facial expressions really lack imagination. I can now understand why those playing Worgen as their main has asked for an overhaul for quite some time.

    1. I DON’T KNOW! πŸ˜€ Most of my longer posts tend to go undet the radar somehow πŸ™‚

Glad my recap made you discover it! It’s one of the posts that have taken the longest time to make. Happy to hear you liked it, and share the same love for the song as I do πŸ™‚
